Last updated: 11 July 2026 · Applies to: the DeskFellow macOS app and deskfellow.app
DeskFellow collects nothing. The app runs entirely on your Mac — no account, no cloud, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking. The only time it ever talks to a server is a single one-time license-activation check with Lemon Squeezy when you enter a key; after that it's silent, forever. Everything else Felix does happens locally on your Mac and never leaves your device.
To react to your day, DeskFellow reads lightweight local signals on your Mac — never the contents of anything, and never sent anywhere:
These signals are used in the moment and are not stored, logged off-device, or transmitted. DeskFellow does not use screen recording, does not read your documents, and requests no special data-access permissions to function.
Your preferences (your pet's name, chattiness, sound settings, launch-at-login, last position) are saved locally in macOS user defaults on your Mac. They are never uploaded.
The marketing site (deskfellow.app) is a static page hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking.
When you buy DeskFellow, payment is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, who processes your payment and billing details under their own privacy policy. DeskFellow does not receive or store your full payment details.
DeskFellow is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version.
